Short version (DRAFT — pending legal review; not yet in force)
- Kidbys has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming and sextortion.
- Our design keeps children away from strangers: children cannot message anyone, cannot publish anything, and are never publicly identifiable.
- Every upload is screened before it can go public. Suspected abuse is contained immediately, escalated to a restricted team, and reported to the authorities as the law requires.
- Report concerns in the app or at [email protected]. If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
Effective date: EFFECTIVE DATE
1. Our commitment
LEGAL ENTITY NAME ("Kidbys") prohibits any content or conduct that sexually exploits, abuses or endangers children. This applies to every user, every surface of the Service, and our staff and contractors. These standards apply alongside our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service.
2. What is prohibited
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited, or AI-generated material that sexualises children.
- Sexualised depictions of, comments about, or interest in children.
- Grooming: any attempt to build a relationship with a child, or their parent, in order to abuse or exploit the child.
- Sextortion, coercion, or any attempt to obtain sexual images or contact.
- Attempting to contact a child, discover a child's identity or location, or move contact off Kidbys.
- Trafficking or advertising of children for any purpose.
- Sharing links to, or soliciting, any of the above.
3. Safety by design
Kidbys is built so that the most common routes to child abuse online do not exist:
- Children have no account and no messaging. A child profile is controlled by a verified parent or guardian. Children cannot send or receive messages, comments or friend requests, and cannot publish anything.
- Verified families. Before any child's art can be published or sold, the parent or guardian must verify their identity and complete a joint liveness check with the child. See Parental Consent & Agent Verification.
- No public identity. Public profiles show only a nickname and, where enabled, an age band. Never a legal name, school, location or contact details. Location metadata is stripped from every upload.
- Screened before public. Every upload passes automated safety screening, including a dedicated child-safety check, before it can be published. Anything uncertain goes to a trained human reviewer.
- No ranking or popularity pressure. No public like counts, rankings or leaderboards for children.
- No child social or video features at launch. If ever introduced, they will be off by default, parent-controlled, and subject to separate safety gates.
4. Detection and response
When we detect or are told about suspected CSAE:
- Contain immediately. The content is removed from every public surface and the related account features are frozen. We do not wait for a second opinion before containing.
- Escalate to the restricted child-safety team. Only specifically authorised staff handle the case, in a restricted workflow separate from ordinary moderation. Staff never download, copy, forward or describe the material outside that workflow.
- Preserve evidence in a restricted, access-controlled store, for as long as the law requires.
- Report. Where we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM or child sexual exploitation, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline as required by US law (18 U.S.C. 2258A), and to other competent authorities or hotlines where the law of the relevant country requires.
- Enforce. Accounts involved are permanently closed. We may also cancel sales and withhold payouts linked to the account.
- Cooperate with law enforcement on valid legal requests. Law-enforcement contact: LAW ENFORCEMENT REQUEST CONTACT — e.g. [email protected] with a dedicated process.
We target acknowledgement of suspected severe child-safety cases by the restricted lead within 15 minutes during staffed hours, with immediate containment.
5. How to report
- In the app: use Report on any artwork or profile.
- Email: [email protected]. This inbox is monitored by our child-safety team.
- Immediate danger: contact local emergency services first (911 in the US, 112 in the EU, 999 in the UK).
- You can also report directly to NCMEC at report.cybertip.org, or to a national hotline in your country (for example via the INHOPE network at inhope.org, or the Internet Watch Foundation in the UK).
Please do not send us copies of suspected abuse material. Describe where you saw it (for example the artwork link or profile name) and we will find it.
6. Our child-safety contact
Kidbys' designated child-safety point of contact is CHILD SAFETY OFFICER NAME AND ROLE — currently the founder as interim child-safety officer, reachable at [email protected]. This contact can speak to our CSAM prevention practices and compliance, including with app-store child-safety requirements.
7. Staff and reviewers
People who review reported or flagged content are trained before handling cases, use least-privilege access, are audited, and have wellbeing support and rotation limits. Severe cases always involve two people.
8. Compliance
Kidbys complies with applicable child-safety laws, including US federal reporting obligations, and will comply with the applicable laws of each country where it operates. We review these standards at least annually and after any serious incident.
